The National Gallery of Ireland

This gallery houses Ireland's national collection Irish and European art. It is located on Merrion square in Dublin City Centre, beside Leinster House and founded in 1854. The National Gallery of Ireland a very large and representative collection of Irish paintings and will often house collections from some of Europe's most famous artists, such as Picaso, Yeats and Monet.

Entrance to the gallery is free and even has activities for children to take part in and learn more about Irish art.

Natural Museum of Ireland

Sometimes referred to as the "Dead Zoo", built in 1856 and located on Merrion Square next to The National Gallery of Ireland and houses a large collection of zoology, geology and botany. Admission to the museum is free and is very educational for all visitors wishing to learn about Irish flora and forna.

Irish Museum of Modern Art

Once the Royal Hospital of Kilmainham the now Irish Museum of Modern Art, is located to the West of Dublin City Centre. The museum has a collection of modern and contemporary artwork, with over 3,500 artworks by Irish and international artists. Entrance to the museum is free and offers you access to not only museum and all its art, but also the grounds, meadows, formal grounds and cafe.
