Dublin Zoo

Dublin Zoo, located in Phoenix Park, is perfect for families of all sizes. The zoo has over 400 animals to discover and is only a 30 minute drive from InterContinental Dublin’s doors. Attracting nearly 1 million visitors a year, Dublin Zoo is one of Ireland’s most popular family attractions.

A day at the zoo will provide a fun experience for both adults and children. While all ages are welcome, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for access into the Zoo. It is suggested to set at least three hours aside to see everything that the zoo has to offer, though you can very easily spend the whole day exploring. Having opened in 1831, Dublin Zoo is one of the world’s oldest and most popular zoos in Europe. The zoo's 28 hectares attracts nearly 1 million visitors a year.

A visit to the zoo not only offers a fun day out for all, but also a journey of learning and discovery about the world’s precious wildlife.

Dublin Zoo is open daily from 9:30am – 6:00pm daily. You can buy your tickets at the gates or book online here for a discounted rate.
