Delicious home-grown Irish asparagus is the plat du jour on a special seasonal menu at the five-star InterContinental Dublin this May. Our Executive Chef Alberto Rossi is making the most of asparagus season in Ireland (which runs for quite a short time, from just May until June) with the addition of mouth-watering green asparagus sourced from Drummond House in Baltray, Co. Louth, as well as white and purple asparagus from the Wye Valley near Herefordshire in England, to the hotel’s seasonal menus.
Guests can choose from dishes including sumptuous cured Irish organic salmon with white asparagus to start, followed by a mid-course of the perfect combination of white, purple and green asparagus with egg and truffle ravioli, or melt-in-the-mouth poached and roasted Kilkenny rose veal loin with asparagus purée, white asparagus tips, broad beans and Romanesco for the main course.
The special asparagus menu will be available from 4th – 31st May in Seasons Restaurant and the Lobby Lounge at InterContinental Dublin with dishes starting at €13.00.
